Short answer:
Business Equipment cover insures you against theft, damage or loss of the equipment that you need to carry out your job.

The long(er) answer
If the laptop you use for work is stolen, damaged or lost, then business equipment cover can step in to repair or replace it so that you can get back to work as soon as possible. Cover is not just limited to laptops; it covers all equipment you use to operate your business.

If you rely on equipment such as laptops, mobile phones or other electronic equipment to do your job, then business equipment cover could be essential if things go wrong.

Could you continue to operate your business at full capacity if the laptop you use to provide your services is stolen or damaged beyond repair? If not, then business equipment cover may be for you. It covers the costs of replacing or repairing the equipment that is essential to the operation of your business.

The level of cover you need depends on the value of the equipment you need to be insured.

The long(er) answer
You should ensure that the level of cover is adequate to cover all of your equipment that you wish to insure. We offer the following limits; £1,000, £2,000, £5,000, £7,500 & £10,000. If you have equipment valued at £8,000 then to ensure you fully cover this you may choose to opt for £10,000. The maximum amount of equipment we can cover is £10,000 but if your equipment is worth more than this we are grateful for all feedback as we look to continue to enhance our product.

Short answer
The cost of business equipment cover can vary but we charge a set-premium based on the limit of cover you select.

The long(er) answer
Business equipment can vary in cost across all providers but at Rewardsme we have set premiums depending on the limit of cover selected:

£1,000: £49.50 +IPT
£2,000: £74.50 +IPT
£5,000: £125.00 +IPT
£7,500: £145.00 +IPT
£10,000: £200.00 +IPT

Currently we can cover up to £10,000 worth of equipment but we are grateful of all feedback as we look to enhance our product.

Short answer
The first £100 of each and every claim is not covered (known as the excess) and the full list of exclusions can be found in the policy wording.

The long(er) answer
Each business equipment policy may have slightly different exclusions and excess amounts. For example, our business equipment policy has a fixed £100 excess which means the first £100 of any claim will not be covered. Other exclusions centre around not leaving your equipment negligently unattended or damage as a result of mechanical or electrical breakdown.
